you don't need a computer, although you could use it through your computer as an external sound device and record direct to your computer.

it's a machine almost branded to make electronic music not really "beats" (although it has, but very few, hip hop drum kits. but not much else), BUT you can record it to an SD card and record your "rhymes" on the computer and mix it there using whatever DAW you have

no it does not have speakers, it has a AUX output and also RCA outputs.
