I used to work in my uncles machine shop after high school before getting into IT. I always thought my uncle was a bit of a goofball until I saw all the tool and dies, and jigs he had made, then I realized how great of a machinist he is. My favorite was the milling machine and punch press (he didn't do much with lathes) However it gave me a great respect for machinist and how things are fabricated. That why I enjoy watching your videos so much!!!

@riverwalker53 As you could see in the video I was not sure where I purchased this lathe. after some thinking I now remember it was purchased from Wayne Niles a friend i use to trade with with.

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed your story very much. I can relate as journeyman mold maker, I got the metal working bug early on too!
