The Flower Duet (Yanni's Aria version) as featured on Grace's debut album "Gifts of Grace" at http://www.gracebawden.com or iTunes . Grace wrote her own English lyrics to this track and harmonized with the French lyrics to this as well:

English translation:
Dome of trees
White jasmine
And the roses entwining
Snow white swans
Perfumed air
Now they invite us to join them
Lets follow the tides swift flow below
Down stream, the water shimmering
Come with me where the birds all sing
And Ill be waiting.

  • @Cedricfollyman What a mean spirited post .. No 15 yo gets to sing in any opera.. but at 18 she was ranked as Fit for Entry to the Centrol Universale del Bel Canto (CUBEC) school in Modena Italy, run by Mirella Freni no less. Next year she will be studying with the La Sculoa Dell Opera Italiana under private arrangements as she is 7yrs too young for any comparable scholarship. Shes been taught by the best in Aust. for years & is now under the mentorship of a Maestro & Mexican Tenor Jesus Leon.

  • @Cedricfollyman I agree. being able to sing high notes in a sugar coated sweet voice doesn't make you an opera singer.

  • @Cedricfollyman So, I don't like this rendition much, either, but I do have to point out a few things. One needn't have sung in a professional production in order to be considered a good singer. Also, most classical singers don't dabble in classical crossover because it's demeaning, not because it's disrespectful. As for me, I could care less about how good or bad she is, given that she stay in her realm of popera, because you really can't compare her with classical musicians.

  • @gilarthur Of all the insults you could have used, you really chose to analogise him to a plantation owner?

  • @Cedricfollyman

Well, you are entitled to your opinion... even if it is arrogant, mean spirited and wrong. You sound like a pompous twit, really! If that is the attitude of "opera lovers", what a sad world we live in. I am sure an American plantation owner from the 1850's would share your outlook... looking down their nose at a talented slave.

  • @Cedricfollyman that is a mean comment....

  • @stankovicv I think it's very sweet. I love the rendition.... This song doesn't call for more operatic techniques... GREAT JOB!!!

  • WOW! I grew up listening to Yanni and this song was always a favorite, and wow, you do an remarkable job! So pure!
