First off subscribers... I recommend you get hold of a pair of Captains of Crush Grippers. The sheer improvement you find you handstand control and finger development is phenomenal.

Back before my diagnosis of Carpal Tunnel I was using these to improve my planching endurance. I was introduced to these by a school friend of mine (CludzyMasta) and even though I couldn't close #1 I was hooked to use them!

Number 2s are said to require 195lbs of pressure to close...but considering the amount of attempts I took to close it, I am certain that it has dropped a little bit.
More info can be found at ... http://www.captainsofcrushgrippers.com/

And to those on youtube who use these grippers...I am quite new to gripper training and I am not 100% familier on the terms associated with closing the grippers. I think this is a "deep set close" as I am comparing it to other videos that are using the same technique as mine, if this is the incorrect term tell me... just don't leave some childish arrogant comment insulting me.

Currently the closes I know would be the "credit card close" or the "Certified Close* I think its also called (I cannot close number 2 this way yet). I think there are others so I would appreciate it if those of you who use grippers could define them for me =)

  • I know there are lots of videos of people who can close #2 on youtube and many people who have never owned the COC#2 think it's no big deal since there are lots of videos on youtube but they are still hard to close. I own #1 and #2 and not many of my gym friends, family, or friends can even close the #1 let alone #2. Its kinda like saying ya there are lots of videos of people bench pressing 405 on youtube but its still hard even if one weighs 200 lbs.

  • @rickalex21 Absolutly, they're the people I like to call "pricks". Anyone who assumes that a form of exercise that is different to what they do, regardless of what that form might be - is bollocks then I find them to be ignorant and way too far up their own ass to understand that there isn't a dominant form of exercise, seeing as all ways of exercising increases the way the body functions. Which at the end of the day, is the whole point and why we do it. People just have different goals.

  • @MartialDriscoll ya I agree, so you working on number 3 now or 2.5 ?

  • @rickalex21 Not on the 3 yet...2.5 I am though. The transition from 2.5 to 3 is pretty immense! lol
