Homemade Mixing-Bowl Bass Guitar

Here's a video about an instrument I made using 4 bass strings, a stainless steel mixing bowl, a 1/2 inch threaded steel rod, 1/2 inch nuts and washers, and numerous broken drill bits. It's pretty tough to play (without practice), but the sound it makes is really awesome, and pretty unique.

yo you could def use the guitar string side to mimic a sitar sounding instrument, like egyptianish...get a loop station and record the sounds and make a whole track..just an idea

You could get some nice, near-infinite sustain if both bowls were the same, resonant at the same pitch.
