I see you were going after Eric Clapton's version. I prefer it as well because it's simple and really appealing. It's nice to see people doing songs that are 70-80 years old.

great voice man

Best version on YouTube in Open tuning. Your voice is perfect - not straining and very smooth. The guitar sounds great also - much bertter than the standard tuning that is so much easier to play but inferior in tone.
A lot of people are going to want you to sing it like Robert. Ignore them. You found your own voice.
Congrats. Though I'd love to see you film it using a decent camera.
-
extremely .....just extremely.....your excellent! I'd buy your version! Singing is great and relaxed 5 *'s all the way, guitar is 5*'s all the way!
-
Very light and jazzy. Interestingly executed, though don't be so shy with your singing. It would improve the performance.
-
nice job i see your playing it in A can you please give me the fingering your using for the opening chord? I know its some sort of mutted A thanks
-

What a great version of this classic, true to the original but you gave it an interesting vocal, great playing, love Robert, imagine he made a few mistakes in his life to write a tune like this,LOL! Well done, and thx routze for the send, great song!...Reg

Right on the moneys, If you had a hat out Id have to drop you a 20, but I'll just hit you with a 5er and save this to savour again later!

Dropping 5 stars here!
nicely done is that in standard tuning?

yes, I played this in standard tuning. It's a typical blues progression in A. Unfortunately I have no tabs as I just played it from listening to the song, but if you have any questions - feel free to ask!

Not bad guitar man. Most people on youtube can't grove. Robert Johnson had a complex style. Have you heard the Rolling Stones Stripped version ?
BarnesSean 5 years ago
thanks for your comment. Yeh, the Rolling Stones version is a really nice take on the song. I'd been listening to a lot of Robert Johnson as I was recording this, so I played his version. (...badly)
