Yes. From Songs of Love and Hate...one of the most depressive/sad/melancholic albums ever written. Glad you never got past the rehearsal phase, Leonard.

It does, but that's the genius of the song, because not being able to do it, compounds his suicidal tendencies with an additional source of shame. I think it makes the song more depressing, but at the same time I like it because it feels like a big satire.
