Should always put weights on first...not scope

I'm going to be buying this exact scope in the next couple weeks. Was wondering about the 2" focuser, where and which one did you get? I'm excited to try this scope out. Have been using an astromaster 114 for a year now, time to upgrade!

I am getting this scope today. I am an absolute beginner and I was wondering about the 2 inch focuser. What do you have and how did you install? Thanks.

Brilliant video, answered all my questions. Love the music - so much better than someone annoying talking through the set up!

I own this telescope too, it is my firtst and I must say that is was good buy!I tested it for the first time on Jupiter and M3 - excellent picture!
Collimation is very easy, you can use 35mm of film can, in the middle make thin hole and watch mirrors....., so all is in the instructions and you can find it on the internet.
This telescope is the best - cost X proprieties :)

I am considering this for my first scope and thank you for the very helpful and informative video. I was especially impressed how simple the collimation seems to be as I have been intimidated by the thought of doing this. Wonderful astrophotos as well. Is it true the motor drive must be disengaged with an allen wrench every time you change targets? How tedious/time consuming is this?

Collimation seems hard and is hard to grasp when reading about it. But with the right tools (and a video) it's super easy, especially with a reflector. You need to disengage the motor when you want to use the fine tune knobs to zero in on a target. This is no big deal because there's a knob that you turn to do it. It takes about 1 second- no tools needed. I'll be at the Julian Starfest (Julian, CA) in the first weekend of August if anybody wants to meet up!

Oh well, i think it's an "orion padded case", but... could you give me the exact dimensions? Thanks a lot!

It is an Orion padded case. It's 4' long 1' wide and 14" tall it's the: Orion
Soft Padded Case for Larger Refractors/Reflectors [15164]. It can fit the OTA and mount. I got it from Oceanside Photo and Telescope. Check out their website.
