The title comes from a fable in the ancient text of Liezi. The story tells that a fisherman often plays with seabirds and they would gather on his boat without fear. One day, the fisherman is asked by his wife to catch some of those birds and take them home. When the fisherman approaches the birds, they immediately fly away as if they know what the fisherman is trying to do.
My playing is mainly based on Pu Xuezhai's 溥雪斋 (1893-1966) rendition.

  • @theowind You're already doing great. :) 繼續加油!

  • @echoa110 Please don't say so. You are being too modest. It's my pleasure to get feedback from listeners. There are indeed some notes that I played a bit too fast, and I surely should practice more. Thank you indeed for your comments!

  • @echoa110 Just uploaded Pu Xuezhai's version.

  • Theo, who is your teacher? I assume you learned it back in China. Do you know a good teacher in California?

  • @kunghsu1 Thank you very much for the comments.

  • The first half is perfect, the second half is a little hasty.
