@aarondhp20 The APFSDS "arrow" has a much smaller diameter than the barrel from which it is fired, in this video it's almost the same size, the other problem is that the projectile is spinning, and spin reduces the armour penetration of the sabot. Fins on the APFSDS are fixed and don't deploy (the fins in the video have greater diameter than the barrel). Either you lied about being in the army, or you really suck at your job. So either enlist or learn something about your job....

Doesn't look like a Sabot, not sure what kind of tank that is.
If anything I'd say it's an MPAT round

Will all of you experts shut up and enjoy the awesome?

Are any of you guys actually tankers? I was. BTW the APFSDS stands for Armor-Piercing, Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot. Get it? The sabot breaks away from the penetrator and is discarded.

It not a HEAT round. A HEAT round is flat on top. Google global security 120 mm tank rounds
-
Thats a HEAT guys , not a APFSDS .... the APFSDS is smaller and actually has something called the sabot . that is either invisible or does not exist in this example

@MisterLEM0NS And you spelled "spelled" wrong...
