This gentleman is truly in harmony with His drums.He plays with such ease and coordination.I have never been able to let loose without having my fingers swell up on me.I must be doing something wrong.

I refer to Big black as the papa jo jones of hand drums, because he has invented and developed an approach to hand drumming that allows for the indiividual to express their own voice on the instrument...much the way pap jo opened the door for all the trap drummers!

thank you so much for posting this! yes indeed....it is the master at work in the sphere of prototypical rhythm creativity! I think this is the concert from Symphony Space maybe 10 years or so ago?
