  • dan , stop this bullshit TECHNIQUE and instead try to SPEAK. otherwise you will continue to sound as you do now . which is TOTAL FAKE JERK. and for your information there is noone on this planet earth who is PERFECTLY fluent. so stop wasting your already much wasted life in pursuing this illusion.

and pam , accept the fact that stuttering does NOT rock . its bullshit selfdenial. its EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION which rocks . with or without stutter .

  • You people disgust me...

What the fuck do you mean by "it rocks"?

No it doesn't. You're in self denial and you've been denied many natural life experiences because of this disease (Like many of us). Deep inside you now that it is holding your life back. Realize that it is something that you would rather be without than say that it fucking "rocks".

    FUCK YOU

  • That is so true - standing together and supporting each other is the most important thing. Even though our actual stuttering moments and experiences can vary tremendously, we all share the core experience. Severity is relative - most of the time, the emotional impact is much more the issue.

  • From my experience the severity of stuttering is most definitely situational. That could range from the type of person with whom I'm speaking, the amount of people, if it's a serious or comical mood, etc. One day I could be completely fine and nearly fluent and the next I could barely be able to speak. What we need to do is no matter the severity of anyone's stutter, we must stand together and support each other because we have no clue what others are going through.

  • I like that attitude! BTW, I won't be able to attend the conference in Scottsdale due to cost and how far away..

I will be missing out on the 2nd best time of my life!!

I'm telling ya, these stuttering outings are so fun and just all out make one feel good.

  • Well, everyone defines their own stuttering in their own way. As you know, stuttering can be very situational, and sometimes I stutter more. Dan was using fluency shaping techniques. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Its all about agreeing to disagree, right?

  • Are you SURE you stutter gang!!

That sounds VERY light, and very mild.

I thought stuttering was hardcore nasty, and severe stuff.

I wouldn't realy call myself a stutterer if I had very light trouble like you Pam!!!

You are blessed with such a light stutter!

Stuttering SHOULD rock if it's very light and mild and one can get their words out without trouble!

For the more severe stutterers like me, it far from works.

You and Dan-The-Man have it real good!
