@TerryCPiano you're lucky man, I've tried to get a replacement twice now and they turned me down because my apple care was outdated.

I bought the 3G 2 years ago and had 5 phone replacements and 2 screen replacements for free, a month ago I had another problem with the phone so I brought it to the genius bar in the Apple Store, they told me that they were out of stock of iPhone 3G White so told me to go home and will call me when they receive a new one.
The next day I got a call, went to the Apple store and picked up the replacement iPhone, on my way home I found out that they replaced my 3G with the free upgrade to 3Gs :)
