  • The year this song came out, I met someone very special to me. He would play his guitar and sing Colors to me every day for months. He saved my life, then one day he was gone. I tried to find him, but have never been able to.

  • I was in the studio. The band: Acoustic guitar: Donovan; Electric guitar: Big Jim Sullivan; Bass & keyboards: John Paul Jones. Producer: Mickie Most. All were present. Don't know any Jack or Bob. The track was seemingly complete as I left. Donovan's reply-harmonies were added sometime thereafter and were a shock to me when the LP was released. Loving the original as I always will, this version remains excellent in its own way...but without his impure harmonies, it was utterly wonderful. --LG
