  • the 2008-present Toyota Highlander/Kluger is assembled in

    Guangzhou, China

    Miyawaka, Fukuoka, Japan

Princeton, Indiana, United States (Oct 2009–present, North America only)

  • @counkev It did well in the IIHS test... the dummy did hit the steering wheel though because the airbag didn't "have it in it" (wasn't stiff enough), literally, to keep the dummy's head from hitting the wheel.

  • @mgh95 Well yes the Highlander did do really well for this test at least. Cars now undergo a more hard test to pass which is performed by the Institute for Highway Safety. It is done at 40-45 MPH not like the NCAP 35MPH and it is a offset test which means only half of the front gets crashed it may sound easier but there is a lot difference between those two.

  • That did really well!
