In Japanese, the title is as shown above, pronounced 'Tsuki no Sabaku.' The meaning is almost the same as desert moonlight.
Songwriter is Suguru Sasaki; Lyrics by Masao Kato. According to wiki, It was first recorded in 1932. As of now, the wiki page is in Japanese only.
There are other remakes here on yt but titled a bit differently (ie 月の砂漠) instead of what you see above but the melody is the same.
