i didn't like it at all, totally overated.

then go watch it.... but if you really dont want to its a fariy tale for adults......a clean one

think of it as Alice in wonderland but made for adults. very good movie...one of the best of the last 10 years i would say

sweet. del toro is mexican and hes not a catholic, hes not afiliated to any religious institution,i dont think this movie does any religious references.this is a brilliant film .

What is it about?

this is my favorite movie ever, its so sad, but i love it.

along with the end scene where she appears to be in a cathedral almost as in a church ..seems to be religious references

This has to be one of the best movies ever made..the interpretation of what it truly means is up for grabs..I always saw it as a semi religious reference since the director is spanish and most likely catholic..this girls self sacrifice for others even the ones who treated her horribly seemed the be a reference to Christ..
