Why have so many of the more recent versions of Tarzan seem to have the swords and sorcery more suitable for Robert E Howard, and NOT Edgar Rice Burrough's?

And I would hope in any future versions they drop the Johnny Weismuller yell and replace it with all the over-laid yelps, barks and squeals David Lee Roth ever made for Van Halen.
