Part 3 of Sinulog 2008.

The maglalatik is a four part war dance telling a story between a battle between the Muslims and the Christians. Instead of being armed with sticks, the dancers wear a harness of coconut shells on their hands, chest, back, hips, and thighs.

  • Hey! pls make a research on the information of this dance(Maglalatik) this is absolutely not a war dance! Thisis a dance of the coconut growers in leyte, that after working the whole day in the farm they have this dance for fun.this is instead aan exhibition dance of two opposing team showcasing their acrobatic skills, trying to overthrow one from the other.
