@MrGlock4me you're the only person i know that says that -_-

@nance2uable It is a K98k Karabiner 98 kurz(Carbine model 98 short) That is the official designation for that rifle.

@Dragunov1185 ok

@nance2uable Depends, the "k" at the end means "kurz" or short. That means the rifle is shorter than the original model, the K98. This IS a K98k, though, because one, you can easily see it's shorter than the K98, and 2, i think the owner of the gun would know what it is, since it's, you know, his. -_-

Yes, very fun weapon to fire. I got a 1944 german made mauser with all the markings. Sucks that by the time I got my hands on the weapon it had a pitted bore and slightly damaged crown, it still is generally accurate, but its fun to shoot. Maybe when this rifle is really rare in a couple decades I can sell it for a nice chunk of change, bought mine for $200 at a garage sale or maybe if I have kids they can have it.

The front sight hood and cleaning rod make a big difference cosmetically, eh :) I even got a few capture screws for mine, but that's not really noticeable. just got em for the hell of it. Russian Capture K98ks are quite accurate for being all mismatched.
thats a mauser k98 not a mauser k98k

@nance2uable
From internet: The Karabiner 98k "Mauser" (often abbreviated "K98k" or "Kar98k") ...
Some one else once told me it was 98k on here as well.
