Danny Clay- A Luther Vandross Tribute

this man is "SO AMAZING"! :) he called into the Steve Harvey Morning Show to sing a Luther song, and Steve does not play when it comes to people calling in to sing Luther songs!!!!!!!!!!!! But when he heard this guy, he was in awe, as were all of us upon hearing him! These are some snippets of a show he did for Valentine's Day weekend at BB Kings in NYC. I, and the rest of the audience, fell in love with this man! And we were all glad to enjoy a night of Luther. :)

Destinyischang88 I couldn't agree with you more. Let the brother sing! They're probably just mad because they can't sing! It amazes me how easily people can spew hatred and mean things online. But I guess it's safe and people can remain anonymous. this guy is just okay to me...he just doesnt have luther's vocal dynamic...I do know someone that does though and sound more like luther than this cat

it's not really about who can do a better luther! danny clay was blessed to get a break, which is something all artists strive for. and he continues to gets recognition because he is the truth and people realize that.

Never seeing someone in concert doesn't mean a person has no clue about them.If that were the case, artists wouldn't become LEGENDS and be popular and appreciated by newer generations decades after their deaths.I mention Steve Harvey because I share his taste in music, and it's not about people trying to replace Luther because nobody can. Danny just keeps his music alive in a humble way that no one else has, and that is why I, and many others, appreciate him.

@purpose408 Luther was in his on class, it was just his unique sound, intelligent phrasing of a vocal line, it was his over all approach to music, he was a singer singer and a perfectionist. He made sure his background vocalist were top notch, everything had the right now, the might was set at the right level, and he song-writing was so honest and sensitive and really spoke to that true core of love, having said that, I see what you me about "just ok".LOL Good for him though for his break.
