  • @HerculesOlimpio It's a portative or "box organ". It has a blower, and probably two ranks of pipes (somewhere around 80 individual pipes). It will only have about a 4 octave range, which is more than enough for the job it's doing (continuo). If you research Portative Organ, there is tons of info out there on these instruments.

  • Could someone, please ,explain to me how that organ works? It seems it's just that little box!but..how?!

  • This counter tenor has simply the best voive EVER!He´s great.Very very sweet and not a pierce voice.Bravo!

  • @lawnbabyful

    Soprano Angharad Gruffydd Jones

  • Who is the soprano?

  • the guy's facial expression reminds me of a 6 year old who has received socks for Christmas...

  • Faced with such brilliance I have no words......thank you!!!

  • Oh my! The amen took my breath away. So subtle yet so affirmaive. Bravi. Bravi. Better than sex...mostly.

  • First heard the Stabat Mater when watching Jesus or Montreal ( French Canadian film made in 1989) Brilliant soundtrack to a brilliant film. The girls who sang in the movie were excellent. This is the best version Ive found since. COunter tenor is good isnt he? Pergolesi was a genius. Listening to this has made me happy today. Number 11 ( Inflammatus) is just the best 2 minutes ever.
