  • @mrman17 Good point. I guess I was stuck thinking in terms of artificial lighting :)

  • @wolfy317 It depends - I checked and to quote from quickstart guide on their web site:

    "When photographing subjects under ambient light, it is best to stand in similar light as your subject and point the camera towards the main light source. If there is not a dominant light illuminating your subject, then it is important to capture the combined incident and reflected light falling on your subject by pointing the camera back towards

    the location from where you will take the picture"

  • @mrman17 Actually, expodisc is pointed at the light source, unlike a gray card.

  • I believe you are supposed to point the camera to where you will be shooting from, and not at the light source...

  • You can also use sheet of white toilet paper or Kleenex. That will work as well.
