@mrmajikjr and i knew she was gonna die, but the rest with sepiroth saying cloud is a robot because of something something else was awesome, yet the ending was rushed didn't really fill the holes left but that was done by the other games like crisis core and ceraloakjdlaf (the one with vincent), now again i'm not saying OOT is bad but you can't say it's the best game ever when it easly gets beaten by games like twilight princess and metal gear soild (which was also action but had lot's of story)
@mrmajikjr really, like ganon being raised by a bunch of lesbians with no character development was any better, the materia system wasn't broken at all it was a pretty decent system, and the characters made you connect with them, i don't know what you thought when you played ff7, but that was my first ff and i thought it's gonna be some weird as game, but it turned out to be really good, Spoiler, aeris dying didn't do much for me since i didn't really like her, did nothing in the game .part 1
@thecomputerist Oot was an Adventure game, it didn't need a blockbuster story, or killer, visually appealing cut scenes. It plot that barely strings it together with the other titles, and fun gameplay. OoT had that. It was just a really fun game, great weapons, great boss battles, and great gameplay innovations, still used in modern games. As an RPG, FF7 needed a good story, and didn't get one. It was stereotypical, convoluted, and confusing. Refer to my previous post for more information.
@SirPwnsalotz No, I say it sucks because I played it and hated it. It's Plot twist occurred in the first disk. People keep saying "I cried when Aries Died" when she was only in the first F'ing disk. Then the Materia System was broken, the equipment system sucked. I hated the Stereotype characters. Even Setheroth was a stupid villian. It just sucked as a game.
@mrmajikjr are you f*** kidding me, OOT has no character development and the story has not even a twist or something interesting. the only reason people still see it as good is because of nostalgia since it's really hard for them to admit to flaws in their childhood games. ff7 along with metal gear solid and kingdom hearts are some of my favorite series, actually maybe even zelda, but really, i mean really !
While overrated, Final Fantasy 7 was in no way a bad game. There are definitely better Final Fantasy games in the series, but think before you speak. It sucks in no way. You're simply jumping the "i want to look cool so I'll say this game sucks to be different" bandwagon.
Link: Umm Skull Kid? SK:Yeah? Link: WTF is Yuffie here? SK: She's looking 4 sumthing called Materia, U know WTF is it? Link: *flashback if Link playing FF7* Well ummm I guess. SK: Well it's good fusing 2 of the best games ever.
