Norooz Foundation Mission Statement

Norooz Foundation is a non-profit humanitarian organization, established by Bahman Maalizadeh and led by volunteers, committed to provide relief to Refugees that are victims of human right abuse, religious prosecution and victims of war.

Who is receiving our Assistance?

Those refugees who are registered by UNHCR (United Nation High Commission for Refugees) or have documentation with other International organization such as ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross), HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society), ICMC (International Catholic Migration Commission) and BIC (Bahai International Community, United Nations office).

Geographic Area

Our primary areas of assistance are divided between the following countries: Turkey, Iraq, Greece, Jordan, Pakistan and India. In each of those countries Norooz Foundation has volunteer representatives to assist the needs of Refugees.

Categories of Assistance

Through the generous donations of money, medical supplies, emergency relief items, food, and clothing from individuals and corporations, Norooz foundation has been able to provides, food, shelter, education, medical, legal and financial assistance.

The main recipients are single mothers with children and families who are fleeing the oppressions of the fundamentalist regime in Iran. These people are victims of human rights abuse, religious prosecution and lack of freedom of speech.

Everyday thousand of people are fleeing their homeland in desperate need for protection and assistance. . UNHCR reported 32.9 millions in the year 2008.

With your support Norooz Foundation can provide critical assistance to meet the urgent needs of these refugees.
