Austin's New Braces

As most of our friends and family know, Austin got braces just before Christmas. This video is taken just after he got them. He had to learn how to talk and swallow around them. Every time he swallowed he would make a clicking sound... this was too cute not to post! He is talking and swallowing normal now.

wow, yeah they said when i get braces in a few weeks they will have to put that thing on the roof of my mouth like yours, its called a spider and it pushes your top teeth out to set the rest of your teeth and you have to tighten it every night with some tool they give you, but yeah i hope i learn how to talk and wish you luck too my friend

It took a couple of days to get used to it, but it wasn't too bad. Take a sinus headache tablet before you get there, it'll help with the pressure in your sinuses.

I thought about doing that but it was a little painful each time we did it, so I didn't.

That was funny! Did he tell you to "turn that thing off" at the end!?! I enjoyed the video.

I had to wear braces for 3-1/2 yrs in the late 70's, no peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for 3-1/2 years, miserable!

They did at first, but he is fine now. He can even talk normal again!
