With a drop in tub like that (and mine), I would not fill it with water before caulking it, because when it is emptied it could stretch the caulking beyond it's limits and separate. With a regular tub with a lip, you would be right to fill it first before caulking, but not with a drop-in.
My plumber is installing one like this one. Instead of cement he's putting styrofoam underneath. He already framed the corner and we're waiting for the bronze tub faucet. Had to buy a overflow drain kit and also heater. Did'nt know this stuff was not included with tub. About an extra 300 bucks.
before i would have caulked that i would have fulled it with water and also i would have used concert board and framed it with a chance to move it abit framed liked this you got problems some hard to a good carpenter sorry if you doint like my comment but its true
The fucking idiots that put in my tub put the GFI outlet inside the framed area of the tub. No access. Lightning hit the house and took out the GFI. Now I have to cut a hole in the side of the tub to get at it. Some people just should not touch fucking tools. These are the fucks the work, go to the bar, buy scratch tickets and spend all weekend at the strip club. FUCKING LOSERS
What a pair of dumb buggets, i just spent £1200 on a new Black glass spa bath & if i had you jumping around in it i would also put your head through the bottom of it pal.
You also have NO clue how to use a mastic gun, you would not use WHITE you would use CLEAR & it would be Anti-Bacterial not ordinary low module silicon OMG not tradesmen just triers
