Gary Thorne with the call as Stu Barnes ties Game 6 of the 99 Stnley Cup Final vs Dallas. Unfortunately it was the only goal we'd score on that fateful night. Despite the loss (on a goal that never should have counted) this was a great game to watch. 6 periods of the best goaltending ever. Hasek and Belfour were virtually unbeatable all night.

  • @ktonproductions Does Dallas own "Baffalo" at spelling?

  • Read the rules. The Hull goal still counted, for he still had possession of the puck when his foot went into the crease. A few minutes after they scored, the head of officiating confirmed that the goal was legal.

  • Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Barnes

  • so lets talk about the goal they called back 4frm us we should of won game 6 can't speak on game 7 cause nobody well no wat would of happen

  • First, a rule is a rule. I think the delay of game penalty is bs, but its a rule none the less.

Second, according to talks with the players Rob Ray had, the sabres would have had a legit chance to win game 7. The stars' best players were all held together by tape and weren't playing as well as normal, guys like modano were dying for the series to end. Luckily for them, it did, but if the sabres scored and it went to game 7, who knows what would've happened

  • ahhh the North Stars....how we miss thee

  • fuck you

  • 3-2 is hardly domination. one game would of turned it around.....one goal could of turned the entire series around.

  • I don't have any idea why people have such a hard time understanding this...

    1) It was a dumb rule, so give the Stars that.

    2) It was still a rule and the rules were the same for everyone, so the goal should never have counted. Sabres have a legitimate gripe about this.

    3) Dallas was the better team that year and they had a 3-2 series lead, so it's unlikely the Sabres would have won that Cup anyways.
