While legally filming a TSA enhanced screening pat-down at Nashville International Airport I was confronted by an Airport Police Officer and told to stop filming. The officer later removed my iPhone from my hands, despite my protests, saying "I don't need a warrant."

When TSA officials told him I was within my rights to shoot footage of the checkpoint, he gave the phone back to me. As I was leaving, TSA agents insisted that I could not show the footage without their permission, which is false.

This occurred at Nashville International Airport in Nashville, Tenn., Monday November 22, 2010. at 5:30pm CT.

  • The person that is supposed to enforce the law, doesn't know the law. This is very sad but not as sad as living in Nazi America.

  • Nashville can make whatever POLICY they want but that's NOT LAW. So not only is IMisterMerk ignorant of the law and the US constitution he;s also someone I'd like to meet in person and see if he'd spout his profanity face to face.

  • Funny, I guess this video was meant to make the cops and TSA look like asses. It had the opposite effect. They were clearly respspectful and the cop even apologized for the mistake. I frankly disagree with video taping them and especially if you are going to put it on the net for any terrorist to see how to breach our system. In this case the camera guy is the ass!

  • THAT WAS BLATANT DISRESPECT FOR THE CONSTITUTION - NO SEARCH AND SESURE WITHOUT A WARRANT!!!!!!

  • ultimate cop accent

  • @nhoogen1 I think the video is less about TSA and more about a cop sworn to uphold the law when he doesn't know what the law is.

  • A person sworn to uphold the law and the constitution has to ask a "baggage checker" what the law is.

You should have filed a complaint so he cold be retrained.

How fat do you have to be to get a job as a cop in Nashville?

  • I can have you arrested for interfering with private citizens.

  • Finger in the face. Ignorant authoritarian, armed with mace. Thievery excused with,... I'm Sorry! Self righteous redneck. Irradiated slaver. Corporate mercenary. Finger to the chest. Courtesy of a mind fucked cracker mess. Room temperature I Q Don't know what to do. Could not respect you or your property. Slaver fuck stain power trip. Powered by low brow blue coat, state terrorists. I'm sorry! Waddle away... Cool poking finger down... Displace anger by strip searching the meek... Mentally WEAK!
  • Don't you see my badge, what ever I say is the law is the LAW! Now bow down and kiss my boots or I'll arrest you for a bunch of made up stuff and the judges will back up my lies!

  • How could you be so calm during this? I think I would have snapped.

  • @nhoogen1 It's called freedom jack ass. You know the bill of rights! the first Amendment, the fourth Amendment! Good people? are you serious, they are nothing more than jack booted thugs who get off on power trips on 80 year old women in wheelchairs and 4 year old children with a plastic toy. The TSA was created not for finding terrorist but to condition the American people to become passive slaves and to never question authority, you are a blind sheep slave!
