how strong is the tension on it would it stay on my helmet if i was running for my live for any reason

there is some tension, I have worn it a lot.. I've never had a headache from it, but it's never fallen off or even moved, so it's a perfect middle ammount of tension IMO

I have never run for my life, and don't plan to so I can't help you there

thanks, no water tests yet, but we do plan to get these wet.. it just doesn't happen too often in the desert where do most of our adventuring, LOL

Petzl have given this headlamp an IPX4 rating, means it will be all right in rain
