What Is ACTA? STOP ACTA

ACTA - 'The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement' is a proposed plurilateral agreement for the purpose of establishing international standards on intellectual property rights enforcement in Europe.

ACTA would establish a new international legal framework that would create its "own governing body outside existing international institutions" such as - the World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) or the United Nations.


An open letter signed by many organizations, including Consumers International, EDRi (27 European civil rights and privacy NGOs), the Free Software Foundation (FSF), the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), ASIC (French trade association for web 2.0 companies), and the Free Knowledge Institute (FKI), states that "the current draft of ACTA would profoundly restrict the fundamental rights and freedoms of European citizens, most notably the freedom of expression and communication privacy."

@Burcakful I don't understand what you're saying. I know that ACTA is bad. That's why we have these videos, to let other people learn about it. Naturally, I am against ACTA. We all want to have freedom. So of course, on the Internet as well. I know that ACTA is a true danger and that we have to stop it. If we aren't even allowed to send an e-mail with a copyrighted message in it, or share a copyrighted song, something is not right. But we can just talk to a girl in college if we want to, lol.

Someone can talk to a lady when sitting down in college and they will get thrown out. ACTA WILL COME AND SOMEONE WORSE THAN ACTA WILL COME AND MASH US UP EVEN MORE. STOP ALL OF THEM NOT JUST ACTA. @TheDivineShiver I know what i writ sounded out of order. I am from Turkey and some people can think i disgrace my nation for writing such things.  Yes but isnt ACTA doing worse. I just dont want to stop ACTA but people dont talk to each other on the street over in England. I am 29 obviously I talked about a relationship with a lady. Someone very nice.
