We walked across this stream the day before without even getting the bottom of our boots wet by rock hopping, but a day later after 2 inches or so of rain, this became an interesting crossing. In this video Nick is the first to go across so that we can tie a rope and then get everyone else across. This stream is so insignificant I can't even find a name for it.

  • Dang, dudes! That was intense!

  • that's Red Creek just above the forks.

  • Nice vid. I can't wait to get back out to dolly sods. I think it might be safer to cross that swollen creek without the pack. I think he'd have better balance and could get up more easily if he were to fall. Thanks for sharing.

  • @pburglooser Thats what I was thinkin'. Was this in the spring or after a storm?

  • Would it be "Red Creek? If your in the valley on Red Creek Trail and crossing to Breathed Mountain trail to head up the mountain, then this is "Red Creek"

  • Kinda looks like where you cross from the red creek trail over to the Big StoneCoal trail. If it is it was alot lower when I had to cross it.
