The Sorpresa Gold Prospect at Fifield NSW has undergone a soil geochemistry grid. Elevated Gold values (e.g. above 15ppb) were reviewed and a number of locations chosen for auger drill testing of bedrock at about a 2.5m depth. Auger drill traverse holes 816 to 829, at 5m spacing returned Gold assay results, indicating a broad zone approx 40m wide, of elevated Gold, including hole 823, which had an assay of gold at 2.6g/t. It was decided to trench the auger holes 822 to 824, the strongest gold result section, and trench 31 was placed on this location to check the geology and take further samples for laboratory assay. Trench 31 was 13m long and 2m deep.
