Have you heard catfish blues by Muddy Waters?.I think that song influenced pretty much Jimi Hendrix on Voodoo Chile Blues and Voodoo Chile (slight return).

This is a classic blues song. Muddy Waters influence on Jimi Hendric can be heard in this song. This is a kickass song!

Years ago I didn't think Jimi and Muddy had much in common. But now I feel, as you point out, that they are in the same tradition.
