I just finished The First Rule. I'm the kind of reader who grabs on to a good writer with both hands and doesn't let go until I've read everything he's written. A big thanks to Robert Crais, and a big wet kiss for my Kindle.

I love Robert Crais' Elvis and Joe novels.
It is my favorite detective series.
I've met Crais. He is not only a very
talented writer but a nice guy.

I am sure he's a great man, but he should stick to crossword puzzles and leave writing to the writers. The mere fact that he can write does not make him a writer, his characters are shallow and predictable. I am reading his novel, and I am I sorry I bought it.

Crossword puzzles? Hollywood? Making money on TV? Hey, I love TV too, I am so original. I know, I am going to be a writer too! People should really be more critical of their abilities if not more educated before they embark on writing a novel. Not every novelist is an artist. Not every kid who tosses ball on weekends is a professional baseball player and not every George W. Bush clone is the president of the USA.
