Nothing can beat this game, not ever. No modern game can be better than Phantasy Star, Shining Force, Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean, Chrono Trigger...

I think Hahn from a storyline perspective makes more sense than anyone else. (Who was there when Alys suffered? Who only got to defeat Juza and maybe a tame sandworm?) On the other hand, back against the first DF, Raja only had one or so uses of St Fire (lol). I'd love to use both a Motavian and Dezolian on the same team... The game could have let you use Chaz + whoever you wanted for the last stretch.

I won't lie, if I had never pirated this game via emulators, I would have probobly never bought Phatasy Star Online, Blue Burst, Episode 4, Universe, etc...Or even bought it again for my leftover Genesis years later. Safe to say, keeping that rom is now legal for me =)

@XavierPrice Damn. Your comment made me look at this video. I made that comment a year ago when I was playing through this game. I might have to get my Sega Greatest Hits CD back into the 360 for another romp around Algo :D

@aldoreshgaramok There is something timeless about the later era of pixel-graphic games. They could do so much with what they had, and when they weren't trying to use some fake gimmick (Sonic 3D) they look and age wonderfully.

This game is still beautiful today, even when compared to some of the more recent hand-held variants of pixel graphics (ie: Sands of Destruction).

And let's not forget the music. That wonderful, awesome to this day music. This game is just the best.
