This is a collection of various outtakes, deleted scenes, promotional footage, and award show footage dating from the 1930's to 1950's. The highlight is the film from the 1958 Golden Globe Awards in which Jayne Mansfield presents an award that is accepted by Mickey Rooney on behalf of the absent winner (with Ronald Reagan introducing Jayne). Other rare film includes W.C. Fields on a movie set when an actual earthquake struck, as well as a deleted scene from his film The Dentist. The Marx Brothers appear with child star Jackie Cooper and Carole Lombard as they have a go-cart race on a movie studio lot. This collection ends with a scene with Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi that never appeared in any movie.

I almost fell down laughing at Mickey Rooney's:: "Who wants to be tall?!?!" And he just got funnier and funnier. "I'm standing in a hole" (looks down, etc) .Rooney is one of my all-time favorites! I wonder if he was married or between wives when this happened.

I agree with you, Mickey Rooney is very funny in this clip. His "Who wants to be tall" remark is a true classic.

The dentist scene is even somewhat shocking today. How in the world did the director think it would get past the censors? Yes the earthquake was real.It was the 1933 Long Beach quake.JAYNE mansfield- what a macabre ending to her life.Creepy

I'm pretty sure the Dental association only had one problem with Fields and that woman in the chair. No way that was going to get in the movies. Holy cow! Watching Jane Mansfield read the whole Q-card including instructions on what to do if the recipient does not show was precious. But having the short Rooney come up to receive and get the best view at eye level was brilliant.

I saw the videotape (remember those?) this came from. Was an evening VERY well spent if you can ever lay your hands on it.

The car Buster Keaton is driving at 4:50 is a Bantam, a minicar that was an American version of a type of car already extremely popular in Britain. Bantams never amounted to anything in the USA, however.

I'm not convinced the earthquake sequence is faked - there really was a significant earthquake in Long Beach in 1933, which caused a substantial amount of damage, and it was strongly felt in Hollywood.

Evidently the earthquake footage was simulated...

Earthquake was faked for the camera as a stunt. Everything mostly done for the cameras-but greaat to see anyhow!
