I love King's Quest And I looove King's Quest 8 It's my favorite ever. So I had to do this. I have a feeling that I will be doing a lot of these things in the future.
@piopoulip Oh, no, you're definitely correct in that aspect in my opinion too. Connor was a Knight of King Graham, and you do have him mentioned in one of the other games somewhere, but it's not like he was Alexander or anything, you know?
It went from an adventure game to an action game very quickly, which I feel was probably the downfall of those games. Not to mention it came out around the time when other games became popular, so adventure/RPG really kinda died slowly.
I had ( too ? ) much hope, when King Quest 8 was only a project. When it was finally released, I was disappointed, because it has lost the "soul" of the previous King Quest. Somehow, I always felt Connor as a complete stranger, and the game too much oriented toward action. King Quest saga aim to find encourage a peaceful way to solve problems, and it requires quite a lot of wit and humility to succeed, using force only when doing otherwise isn't possible. It's only my opinion of course :)
