  • I have 2 pairs of BX8a's in my home theater set up and they're still going strong after owning them for several years, because I take care of my gear by not pushing them past their limits.

Monitors built in China that typically have average to poor quality control in their factories are going to have manufacturer-based defects every now & then(most notably with Behringer for example),but for the most part, monitors fail due to user error.

Trashing an entire line of M-Audio products is asinine.

  • @1ROSETV

To the contrary,95% of the people that experienced fried circuit boards, blown tweeters & woofers, were & are people who are too ignorant to realize that monitors-particularly budget monitors(such as anything under a $1,000),have limitations.

Which means you can't crank the volume to 3/4 of the way or more for hours at a time and expect a monitor to survive that kind of abuse.

Also, people with overdrawn electrical outlets with no surge protection power strips are the ones with problems.

  • @glaxker big difference the entire BX8A line was shit....not because of bad quality in sound but bad quality build a lot of them pop out and bust out for repair quickly and easily ....bx8d2 better build new cercuitry last longer more sturdy over all better buy if u wanna depend 250 euro instead gett a different monitor that has a better rep for 250 euro...if u got the cash get the d2's they are amazing

  • I don,t know if bying these, the bx8 d2 (320 euro)or the previous version bx8a ( 250 euro), is there a real difference between bx5as and bx5 d2?

  • Do you need a subwoofer included with these? or can they work alone?

  • careful how you lift the monitors out of the box, you might damage the tweeters if your fingers accidentally squash em...
