  • These drives are CRAP....end of ....pish.

  • @Miroslawsnketr You can try connect the HDD to another SATA to USB interface, or directly to an desktop PC via SATA to backup your data. You must open the enclosure of your FreeAgent, but you must be careful and no to damage o leave signs of that you opened that. Sorry my english, but I speak spanish.

I have the 2TB version of this hard drive from 1,5 year ago and in the last months i experienced several problems with the USB conexion, and even on my new laptop i just cant acces to my data...im trying to buy a USB 3.0 to eSata adapter to transfer and save my files before i send this to the repair on the store i buyed...i have a guarranty untill 2015 so i have time...but can somebody tell me if i can somehow transfer the files, since the USB port is the only afected part?

  • I have a Freeagent 750gb, it's only a few months old and has just gone dead, have been to the Seagate website but that place just gives you the run around it is designed that way, no phone numbers or email contacts just a load of bullshit runaround, not good if you live in the UK. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER buy anything from that company AGAIN. They should be monitored and prosecuted for selling RUBBISH.

Made in China. I wonder why ?

I may make a vid of me destroying it Burn baby Burn
