I can think of many sopranos that have sang this in an almost perfect way - Caballe, Price,Freni.. But the REAL dramatic approach is done the perfect way only by two- Callas and Ghena. Yes, I know what you're gonna say - Tebaldi.Excuse me - Tebaldi's view was a lyrical one. Not Callas', not Ghena's. There is emotion and there is tallant here. And there is control.

I know what you mean ! However I came across a dramatic soprano you may not have heard yet Lorie Harken.
No one can be Dimitrova however we should not close out new upcoming singers that will start another path you may enjoy. God bless Dimitrova for her beautiful powerful voice no one can replace her.
