As I walked up to the glass on this day, the silverback didn't seem to notice. But, as I sat on the ledge on the opposite side of the glass and turned on my camera, he clenched his fist and pounded the glass so hard the entire building seemed to shake!
For some reason, I didn't even flinch. I just sat still and said, "Please let me sit with you for a while." which, of course, he probably couldn't even hear through the glass.
But he let me stay. And I recorded the video. He did not seem agitated or fearful. And as I walked away, he watched until I went around a corner out of sight.
Jealous of those porkchop sideburns, thats for sure

We went and saw him yesterday, and he looked so bored/depressed. Of course, it was still early in the day, and it was pretty hot. He is beautiful!

@JumbaFan I have seen documentaries showing gorillas in the wild sitting very still, with similar expressions on their faces. To me, it always looks like they are thinking deep thoughts.
