hi claire. i m glad you dont subscribe to the "ice house" theory radicals. they miss so many self evident reasons that such a totally frozen earth is practically impossible, given the fact that a younger earth was more volcanically active, belching out more c02 and sulfuric gases than today, meaning a totally frozen earth could not remove these gasses from the air, meaning a runaway hothouse would develop almost instantly. thanks

Hoo boy, I love me some good geological documentary.

And finding out something extra about the American geology is certainly interesting because when I did my BSc Geology, I learned mostly about European geology.

I'm still watching the series and I don't know what the Appalachian region is, where it is, how big it is, how many people live there or anything. It seems assumed the viewer knows from the beginning. Anyway, geology does seem interesting!

@WildwoodClaire1 :-) i think most of the ocean should have remained liquid or slushy, as you put it, in order for the greenhouse gases to have been absorbed and removed from the air to prevent a greenhouse condition that would have melted all the ice everywhere. Und danke sehr schön!
