@KombiPode, except there is a way to eliminate the problem of 3 out of 10,000. If you're HIV positive, don't have sex with HIV negative people. Andf if you're HIV negative, don't have sex with HIV positive people, which means you have to insist anyone you have sex with gets an HIV test first.
@Papasean7, one thing though: condoms do reduce the likelihood of HIV infection by about 80%. But that's not nearly enough. Only absolute prevention is good enough, and condoms just don't cut it, although they should still always be used because they do help. The only thing that really helps is for people to get tested before they have sex. And in the final analysis, only an end to promiscuity and sex crimes will end the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
@Papasean7, HIV is about 4 millionths of an inch in size. The pores in condoms are much, much bigger in that, and I don't think they've found a substance to make condoms out of that seals off something as small as HIV.
Isn't it great how all these HIV-positive people these days are defending their "right" to have sex with HIV negative people? Not only does HIV pass through condoms, but condoms can break, tear or slip off. When this happens, it's no different than unprotected sex.
@Papasean7, you are right about this. The HIV virus is one of the smallest viruses out there, because it is actually one of the most primitive and simple viruses out there. Retroviruses like HIV are usually small, unsophisticated and unevolved, even by the standards of viruses which I must say is pretty damn low. They are so primitive that they only have half-DNA strands (RNA) instead of normal double-helix DNA strands. It's like a person being born with half a brain. :P
@KombiPode, 3 in 10,000 is such a heartless way of putting it. What if someone you loved was that 3 people out of 10,000? That sounds like a cost/benefit analysis of some soulless corporation. "Our activities only resulted in the deaths of three innocent children. So we're still good people! Right? Well even if we're not, at least we know we won't have to pay enough punitive damages to make our decisions not worthwhile."
But there was a study of 10,000 couples where one partner had HIV and the other one not and these couples had unprotected sex for 10 years and at the end of the study they found that 3 in 10,000 of the formerly non-HIV+ partners had become positive to the test.

Easy. Problem solved.

What if you walked across the road and got hit by a car?
I have lost love. Life hurts.
You cant worry about the 3 in 10,000 when the alternative is 4 in 10,000

Your right we should,nt fear or get angry at someone for being sick, for we
all are human which means we,er not perfect. Race doesnt mean that a
person is not worthy or is worthy of more respect or love.Difference is a gift
from God so let us all appreciate it.
