Video of a Breitling B-1's minute hand incrementing backwards. This is the result of a battery replacement. The Breitling had been running for over 8 years and multiple factory battery replacements. Note how the minute hand moves counter-clockwise every 30 seconds.

  • You have the same reversing issue with your B1? Am I detecting a pattern?

Regarding my B1, after discussing the problem with Breitling USA, they completely accepted responsibility, fixed the reverse time problem and performed a beautiful refurbishment to the case. All at no charge. I love those guys!

I am now a bit wary about sending my other Breitlings to a local shop for servicing.

  • what an expensive piece of shit.

  • Thank you, I will contact Breitling. I had a full service and overall about one year ago so it seems strange that this simply started for no apparent reason.

  • rondellaquila, have you worked out what the problem is and had it fixed? I have the same problem.

  • @Gnidrolog1 Number one to reply on your comment, it stopped working on a serivce battery change! that's not your fault then but of that to the jewellers. I have never had a problem with having any of my watches sent back to Switzerland, even my Balmain wirstwatch (price 600) has a lifetime Battery for free at the jewllers. Go tell them to send it and sling there hook theiving twats.

  • The analogue on my B1 stopped working after a Breitling service battery change. They wanted me to send it with a few hundred pounds before they would even look at it. Dreadful customer service, you would think considering the high price they should be guaranteed for life. From now on I'll be buying Casio watches - at least they work!

  • Weird! Is it accurate - I mean if you let it run for ten minutes, will it subtract 20 minutes from the current time?
