Please watch in High Quality.

Just some random footage from this past week.

First...a murder of crows talking to me about 7am, looking out the sliding glass door towards the pond. Mist rising off the pond was very cool.

Secondly, Karma (Moose), chatting at me while I'm downstairs and he is up in my unfinished studio. Notice the pine ceiling above him is nearly complete. A video of that coming soon.

I know, I keep promising that!

Hope you all have a lucky Friday the 13th and a Happy Valentines Day!

((((HUGS)))))

Debbie

  • OMG! What a beautiful video! You live in a gorgeous and magical place. I loved the background music, too. Perfect for the visuals. Moose is one handsome kitty. My cat is half-Siamese, but she's black in color and has huge, intense green eyes. I just love how vocal Siamese cats are. Always something to say. :) I live on the coast of Oregon and the ravens and crows are my favorite birds, too. Thanks so much for this vid. I had to save it so I can watch it over and over.

  • Thanks, Neferkit, I saw your cat, he's your icon picture right now, isn't he? Moose (Karma) and Squirrel (Kismet) are brother and sister Birmans. We got them as 6 mo. old rescues that people got and kept in a cat cage all the time because their daughter was allergic. They have bounced back completely and are 5 yrs old now. Karma just got shaved into a lion cut (vid posted 2 wks ago) so he looks a tad funny right now, normally much darker. I always thought I would end up in Oregon. Not yet! ;-)

  • What wonderful footage Debbie!

    Happy Valentine's Day to you!!

  • Thanks, Judy! Alas, Rafe and I spent it apart because we worked. Oh well, we both have tomorrow off together for President's Day. ! ;-)

  • Great video

  • Awe Debbie, I"m sorry I didn't see this video when you posted it. :(

The beginning where it looked foggy off in the distance. I loved that!

lol Demon eyes! Where was Moose standing? Is that a loft?

  • Thank you! That removes all my guilt for not having properly read the manual. ;-)

  • I do not beleive that digital camera can do that. With a film camera you can use a ND lense (Neutral Density) but the exposure will be longer than the cat would tolerate. ;)

  • Hi Twish, I dearly love the crows in the morning. This batch was a bit too far away to film, but I hope to catch them close one day. They are so huge and beautiful. There is reason they (and ravens) are my favorite bird. ((((hugs))))

  • Actually, Travis, you see more of the landscape in the winter, spring and fall. Soon we will be amasses in green as the ferns come up and the leaves come out. It truly is a lovely piece of property though. Some of my oldest videos have some good shots of the property in simmer. I'll do more this spring. Did I mention I can't wait for spring? LOL Maybe once or twice!

  • Moose's mane, slightly different spelling, but I knew exactly what you meant. His body fur has grown out just a tad and he looks more lion-like and less like a naked old man. LOL
