Naa HEMI's are great engines, very durable and there the best sounding V8's that i have heard in a long time since the 70's Big and Small block V8's.The 5.7L is a great engine but sounds better with a exhaust and headers. The 6.1L & 6.4L HEMI's are better though. But you have to understand something, The new HEMI's were built to be a truck engine for the Ram 1500, so when you put the same engine into a car, it will just make the car last longer. Pontiac is my second favorite car maker

@Hats1976 Bullshit. First off the SRT8 is a 6.1L..small point. Next thing is Pontiac sold right around 45,000 of these during the 3 year run. Them still being is business has absolutely nothing to do with the quality the Aussies put into this car. You don't like it, fine but get your facts straight. Not a damn thing wrong with this car and I've owned mine since new. Some of the other GM cars, sure I can agree with you. Just not on the GTO, it's a tank. I still like the Challenger though.
