actually, the US is far from the only country that allows dual citizens to run for office. Ever hear of Alberto Fujimori of Peru? Dual citizen president! US doesn't allow that. Most countries will not allow a diplomat to hold dual citizenship, but many do allow for public office holders to have it. As for Orthodox Jews, that's a religion, not a nationality. Vast majority of American Jews are only US citizens
