Enjoying the Mt Prosper twisties on a Suzuki GS500. When we left the starting point we left around a minute or so apart - those who wanted to ride the twisties a little faster, that is. And once those who wanted to ride faster had taken off, the ride leader led those who remained on a more leisurely pace to where we stopped.

Some pulled out a little soon. That is, they thought the twisties had ended. And not knowing the road I slowed to pull out too. But when I saw a couple of the bikes power on, I figured they knew something and followed suit for another few clicks of fun before pulling up.

This was a new road to me. And the road itself was quite bumpy in a lot of places - you might notice a little camera jumping at times. And with some unlined sections covered with trees and in shadow, it made it challenging as you came from bright sunlight into shadows. But all up, it was a very enjoyable run. Certainly worthy of doing again.

The bike itself is a completely stock Suzuki GS500 K9 (2009 model) with 25,000km+ on the clock. Front tire was a BT45 and rear is a Pirelli Sport Demon.

  • these are straights!!! not twisties

  • @dkangel8989 The only real straights are at the start. Otherwise it's 90% Sweepers, some nice Unusual scenery and the twisties on this run from 6.00 on. The problem is, the fisheye type wideangle lens tends to straighten out the bends making them look less extreme than they are in real life.

  • @michaelrossonline thanks for the explanation :) you should see the twists in portugal :)

  • @dkangel8989 I've got some awesome twisty stuff to edit and upload. One I'll call "The Goat Track" the other "Life's Pretty Straight Without Twisties". Be a couple of weeks before I get them up so please keep an eye on my channel for them. I think they might rival the dragon's tale ride, but I could be bias :)

  • Over here in England we love the GS500 but our crap weather makes them rust quick :(

Good video though, and for once not bad chavvy music!

  • @TheAvengingFate Thank you. Have you tried spraying something like WD40 onto areas prone to rust to help keep the water at bay? I try to choose music that matches the footage, so the music helps create a theme/mood to go with the footage.
