Can anyone tell me why the lyrics use the name order they did? They said the Tsar, his wife, then Tsarevich, then Maria, Olga, Tatiana, Anastasya. What? lol

This is a beautiful song! I do not know Russian but I am Czech and since this song is sung slowly I understand much of it. I am also Pravoslavny and pray to this holy family daily. They are with us in all this darkness of the past 100 years. I cannot help but cry when I hear and watch such tributes to them. Thank you. Spasibo! Děkuji! Sváta Rodina Romanovi! I saw this and cried. I prayed to the Martyrs - the Holy Royal Martyrs - and found myself over time drawn to Russian Orthodox Church which I am now joining. My mother's side of the family is Russian and as I grow older I am more drawn to it than my father's English culture.
